Recently, a spark plug change + poor memory led to the loss of the my a/c vacuum reservoir ball on the passenger side and at least one cable on my 2006 Ranger 4.0 SOHC 4WD XLT.
I'm having a hard time getting a clear overview of what connects to what, to track down the parts and/or what I need to rig it.
The Vac ball below is ordered, but as to the hoses that attach to it's 2 ports, and what parts I'm missing, I'm not sure.2006 Ranger Vacuum ball- Part# F67Z19A566BA
Below is what is still attached to the truck. The L-shape connector goes to the vacuum system, the other is loose, the 2 port plug is connected to nothing, and i need to know what I need to complete this repair.
The part number for the Vacuum harness hose is Part # F87Z19C828DA, and in some pics it has another plastic connector.
Whatever I am missing, it goes from this to the Vac ball? (the plug to the right comes from the one I am holding in my hand and likely connects to it)
Suspicious Vac line connected to nothing. that also may be involved:
I hope these pics paint a clear picture of what I'm needing help with, I can't find ANYTHING out there on this with the details I need, you guys are my best/last shot. Usually if I just have at least a glance at how something goes together, I've got it, but unfortunately I didn't get to examine how this was all connected.
Could be TOTALLY wrong, but I think that 2-prong vac connector goes to your firewall and into the cab
You only have 1 vac line connected to your reservoir, right? It should be going to your heater valve (which it looks to be)
That free vacuum line looks like it needs to connect to part of this.
I fixed something similar on my '97 OHV, but that's a truck 9 years older with a different engine than yours. That free vac line (on mine) is red inside the sheath and joins by a connector for the reservoir hose and that one. Connector can be found at your parts store of choice
