2008 3.0l power steering pump

im comparing power steering pumps from other models of rangers, i just came to notice on many 3.0l and 4.0l rangers the pump is a fairly large assembly but the model in my 2008, 3.0l sport is very small and compact. can anyone tell me the output of the different models and why they would have made the revisions. i didnt know they were different from truck to truck and it might affect the strength that i can get from the steering as i convert the hydro rack to a power steering box for an sas. has anyone ever seen a pump like this on a ranger before?

i noticed on mine because my pressure line enters from the bottom of the pump while some/most enter from the side. its a whole different bracket assembly from what i can compare. looks like ford is trying something a little more efficient with the newer trucks?

i believe mine is a 'motorcraft' pt# MISTP212 or also just known as STP212 to the manufacturer, but i cant be sure as the websites show some inacurate images
