Please ignore my earlier post, similar title. I removed the plastic cover panel and the steel panel both beneath the steering wheel in order to get a better look around.

Welcome to the forum

The blue one is the Flasher Relay, does turn signals and 4-ways both

2009 doesn't have a battery saver relay but "may" have an accessory delay relay
In 2004 Rangers changed from GEM module with battery saver relay to SJB and accessory delay relay, these are behind passenger kick panel, part of fuse box

Here is the SJB lay out: https://www.therangerstation.com/for...box-jpg.30179/
Accessory relay pointed out

This article shows you the SJB disassembled: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...horn_mod.shtml

The other smaller relay on the SJB is one-touch power window relay, just FYI

SJB = Smart Junction Box, its the Body Computer, it runs the electrics in the cab, like the GEM did in 1995 to 2003 Rangers, Ford often calls these BCM's, body control module

Relay #25 on passenger side fuse box diagram?

Very familiar with that website (both URLs went the same place, if that's possible) from looking for fuses 13, 26, etc. allegedly in the same circuit as the dome light, lack of power to being the reason for looking for the BSR. I hear you saying "Relay 25" on the chart may be the villain. I just now went out to the truck and looked, and there Relay 25 was, pretending to be innocent. Easy to access. Is 25 in the same circuit as the dome light?

You need to click on the links, not C&P them

Not sure what Relay 25 is but if its the "accessory delay relay" then maybe it powers the dome light circuit, via the SJB, don't have a wiring diagram of the SJB

Accessory delay relay may serve the same purpose as the battery saver relay in older models, but not sure since I don't have a diagram of the SJB's internal circuits

Fuse 13 does power the dome light via interior light relay(part of SJB not serviceable)
And fuse 26 as 2amp and for cruise control

There are a few relays that are part of the SJB's circuit board now so not serviceable unless you disassemble fully and desolder and resolder in a new relay IF thats the problem and it may not be it could just be getting the "signal" to activate

Icon7 I'll reply after Monday

I'll reply after Monday when I pick up the new "Relay 25" (name from the passenger side fuse/relay panel diagram) from NAPA. Push in, see if dome light works.

It is relay 25, lol

You can get your 2009 owners manual here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...1-models-3747/

And pages 184/5 shows it as relay 25, but also says for power windows

Also shows Horn and Interior light using the same fuse, does the horn work?
