3156/3157 ?

Since switching my reverse bulbs with a set of 3156 white 63 LED's, I'm thinking about changing the turn (3156) and brake (3157) lights with red 63 LED's... I just painted the tail housings with red metalcast paint so I now have the look of 2000 tails using my OEM 96 tails.

Problem is that all the 63 Red LED's I've found are 3156/3157, listed as interchangeable.

I know 3157's are dual filament bulbs and 3156's are single filament.
Would using a 3157 LED in a 3156 application cause the LED to illuminate at half power?

Could I simply bend the contact wires on a 3157 LED so that it connects like a 3156?

You can run 3157's in something wired for 3156....it'll illuminate in the 'high' element.

Should just plug right in and light up correctly the way you want it to. It's been a long time for me, but I believe that to be the case.
