3rd brake light help

I put a camper top on my truck and was wondering which one of the wires on the brake light harness I need to tap into.

For a cargo light 3rdBL,
The red center section wires are: GREEN = POS, BLACK = NEG
The white outer section wires are: BLACK/PINK = POS, BLACK = NEG

For an all red 3rdBL,
Just the green & black are used, same wiring as above ^

Those wire colors are from the OEM harness that's attached to the bulb holder side, but I believe the wire colors are the same going into the truck also.

if the third brake light is working @ the cab then just splice into it there and run the wires with a plug out the bottom of the light then into the cap. The third light on the cap should work then. just remember to have a male and female plug setup so you can remove the cap and not have to cut the wires.

06rangerguy,
Did you get the light to work ?
I ran a new brake wire from the Brake sw by the pedal to the rear lights and it worked, not sure why your 3rd brake light on the camper, run the same way doesn’t.
Are you sure the ground is OK ? (The grounding should be a separate wire to at least the bed or frame).
Did you have power when the brake pedal is pressed ?
