so.. i kinda got myself caught up with the belief that it would be good to swap an 89 2.9 for a 93 4.0.....


and now i've found myself stuck knee deep in problems with the swap. we've gotten the motor and the tranny in, but the wiring is very ugly and very scary.
anyone know where these connectors go

 

IMO, you'll need to get the Ranger EVTM's for both 89 and 93 before you can begin to sort this out. They can often be found on eBay for $10~15 each.

well.. i just checked and couldn't find any for the correct years on ebay. where else can i find them?

 

nevermind... i have to type in 1989 instead of just 89.
