Im pretty sure the heater core in my 86 ranger is bad(smoke coming through the vents smells like antifreeze). Although im not sure. How would I make sure thats what it is and how do I bypass it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yours is very easy to change so do it

 

x2. should take less than 30 minutes to replace.

 

Just change it, it's a 30 dollar part and takes 20 minutes to change.
