95 Ranger Fuel Tank Relay Wiring issue (Intermediate starts)

Specs
83 Ranger

86 Gas Tank
95 Motor and Transmission

I got a new relay for the Fuel pump, as the other one was dead.
I thought everything was good to go. I drove about 5 miles down the road, and the truck started knocking off but would come back alive. I was able to get turned around and make it about 1/2 way home when it completely shut down, leaving us stranded on the side of the road.
Luckily, my Ranger has a tow bar on the front, and my neighbor has a big truck with tow ***** on the back.

When I got back home, I tested the Relays to make sure they were still good, and they were.
I then jumped the 30 and 87 pins, and nothing happened.
I unscrewed the truck's fuse box, flipped it over, and checked the wires for the fuel relay section to ensure there were no issues.
There do not look to be any issues.
I tested to make sure the wires had 12 volts, and they did.
I flipped it back over and jumped 30 - 87, and this time, the pump turned on and stayed on for about 10 seconds before turning off.
It would not come back on after that.
I had to turn the fuse box back over, mess with the wires, and turn it back up again, and when I jumpered, it worked, but I pulled the jumper off so it would not stay on. I then put the relay back in and turned the ignition, and the pump turned on and off at the regular time.

The wires seem OK, so I am unsure what is going on.
Should I remove all the connectors and put in new ones?
If so, what is the best way to remove the old connectors, and what would I need, which I might hopefully have lying around?

Thank.
Wayne

I'm including two pictures.
One of the top of the fuse panel. (Red circle around the empty Fuel relay section.)
One of the bottom of the fuse panel shows the wires for the fuel pump relay. (Marked to show only the two powered ones.

Update.

I ran a ground wire to the blue/red (85) slot.
So when I plug in the relay it is a better ground.
Reason for doing this, is the wire connector seems very loose when I move the wire from the bottom.

Issue now since doing this.
When I turn the ignition the pump comes on and stays on.
I counted to 10 and turned it off.
It's normal stay on time is about 2 seconds, give or take.
If I remove the wire, it shuts off at the correct time.
I am afraid of trying to crank it with the pump still running.

I got this idea from a YouTube video. Around 4 minutes
He talks about a broken wire. Mine is not broken just very loose feelin.

About

Seems like one issue after another.

I just read the answer to this post fuel pump runs all the time.
It will not hurt to have the fuel pump running constantly, as the fuel pump is on constantly when the vehicle is running.
It makes sense. I don't know why I didn't think of that. I guess my mind was not going to the pump, having to run constantly.

I will test it later today by driving to the store and checking if it will get there and back without issue.
That is, having the ground jumper to the blue/red (85) slot.

I will post back later on today if this does, in fact, resolve the issue.
Later, I will find a way to pop out the connectors and replace them, and I will also check the wire to see if it is broken or loose on the other side.
(I Can't wait for it to get cooler. Working in this heat, I just can't deal with it anymore.)

Update.
The slot 85 blue/red wire that goes to the computer.
Its connector was somehow bad. I removed the connector from the fuse box and temporarily ran a jumper to the fuel pump relay.
Once I get the correct fitting for the fuse housing, I will redo this, but it looks like this and works for the time being.

The black wire with the heat shrink goes to the blue/red (85) slot.
This is the one that had the bad connector.
All the other wires and connections are still in the fuse panel, with jumper wires from the panel to the relay.

We have to do what we have to do to stay on the road.

Temp wiring for Fuel Pump Relay. For a 95 Ranger.
