95 v6 -Black plastic holding cigarette lighter together at rim broke. Fix or replace?

Having a heck of a time figuring this simple one out. Looks like it will be hard to glue it back in, but I can't find a new socket that fits either.
I can't tell if the plastic rim just held the two metal pieces of the socket together or if it was also attached to the dash piece - I guess that is the crux of my issue.
I see a clip underneath that looks like it might hold it in place (rather than it being attached to the dash plastic) but I can't get it to stay on there, so I am wondering...
I've searched google and youtube but can't find a good answer. Thanks for any help.

What year is the Ranger? I just googled ford ranger cigarette lighter bezel and a number of parts came up. I have a 2000 Ranger and I think that bezel is either part of the lighter assembly or part of the whole frame. Try looking up “Ford Ranger Cigarette Lighter Bezel”.
if you feel that the bezel broke off of the main frame you might be able to find one at the junkyard.
alternatively there’s a guy on YouTube who fixed his by cutting the top off a water bottle and superglued gluing it to the opening. I’ll check mine later today and see how it’s attached. But remember mine is a 2000. Hope this might help you. Good luck.
oops sorry. You have a 95. It should be the same

Yeah I think it is the bezel that broke off the frame.
The water bottle hack sounds interesting. I can't buy a whole new frame for just the lighter socket..I'll just try to modify this one.
Found the video
Thanks a ton!
Will try this and post my results.

Edit: this won't work for me because my lighter has this outer shell that keeps it from fitting through the hole. I might try drilling the hole out slightly bigger if I have a big enough bit.
