95 XLT 3.0 V6 2wd Fire
I have a 95 XLT 3.0 V6 2wd Ranger and I had to jump start it, my dumb *** hooked the cables up reversed and the windshield wipers were on, needless to say I fried the wiper motor hoping it was just a fuse I replaced it. When I replace the fuse the instrument cluster sparked and started a small fire inside the cluster. Thankfully I managed to put it out before it caused major damage. I replaced the cluster, battery and alternator so far. Didn't get around to the wiper motor just yet. In the mean time I noticed the battery would drain dead even when the truck and all electronics were turned off as well as when I would use the high beams they would blow out. Anybody have an idea what could be wrong with it? Thought it was the voltage regulator but its a brand new alternator. Also if anybody has a diagram for the interior fuse box that would be greatly appreciated mine is mia. And one more quick thing I believe the transmission is starting to go it doesn't seem to know when to switch gears properly but no metal shavings in the fluid pan. Maybe I fried the engine computer? Any input would be helpful.
