96 4.0 4x4 dash lights not working
96 4.0 4wd non of my dash lights come on when I turn on headlights, including the ac lights, but the check gauges door open and cel lights work, please help lol, also sometimes my speedometer quits working and I have to hit it a couple times
Go here and get your owners manual: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...1-models-3747/
You can look for fuse problem
The headlight switch or the Dimmer wheel may be bad, could even be the instrument cluster has a short inside, which it sounds like if "hitting the dash" corrects a problem

Thanks
Thanks, I have the headlight switch I'll swap it, if it don't work I'll look for a dimmer switch somewhere, know where one is online for my truck? My title says super but idk what that is. After that I guess I'll send the cluster off to get rebuilt
Check fuse #7 in cab fuse box. 7.5amp
Wrecking yards are best bet for good price, Ford use same switch in many vehicles over many years
I would pull yours out first
You can jumper the Light blue/red stripe wire to the Red/black stripe wire then turn on Park lights to see if cluster lights come on
They should
If not test Light blue/red wire for 12volts with light switch on
