Wiring Diagrams - 2011

Anyone have access to steering column wiring diagrams for 2011 Ranger? I need to find an accessory wire coming from the ignition switch to hook heated exterior mirrors to.

Thanks

You don't actually need to go to the steering column for an accessory wire. There should be a few coming from the fuse box. I'm assuming you're planning on using a relay so you don't overload the circuit you wish to tap into. The radio is an easy place, as is a cigarette lighter/power port, if you have one that only works with the ignition on (some trucks do, some don't)

The instructions just say to tap into an accessory wire coming from the ignition switch. There is no other power going to the control unit, it does however have its own fuse and control unit that shuts it off after 10 mins.

I would put it on a relay and run it to a better power source. Use the accessory wire to activate it. The fuse will protect the mirror, but that won't protect the rest of the circuit from overloading and either burning out a wire or blowing the main fuse for that circuit.
