Afew questions

I have a 2000 ranger that I swaped in a 5.0 from a 99 explorer and was wondering which wiring harness to use the 3.0 or the 5.0 harness. I am also doing a sas and am curious about the speedo. The singnal I believe comes from the rear axel but I am using a dana 60 rear and pretty sure that I am going to use the same in the front. Where should I get the signal for the speedo so I know how fast I am going or can I use a newer one from a f250 or 350 that has the toner ring on the front axel and use that signal. Unsure about this but thanks for the response that you give.......

signal for the speedo comes off your transmission.

Harness for the 5.0......i believe some have used the 5.0 harness to usewith their 5.0 ecu.

"signal for the speedo comes off your transmission."

Not on a stock 2000, it doesn't.

VSS on the rear axle is the speed signal source, then it gets "conditioned" by the 4WABS module.

Jay, I can send you VSS/ABS Wiring Diagrams for a 2000, if you PM me an e-maill address that will receive .pdf attachments. I'll send you what I sent Tim, it's already handy.
