hey, my buddy gave me his old sunpro supertach 2 tonite. well i downloaded the manual and it says the green wire goes to the coil pack negative. since its like -10 degrees out and i really dotn feel like looking all over for something i dont have a clue about...you think someone could help me out here. maybe a picture or an alternat route that perhaps you have taken?

Wire the tach signal wire to the Ranger's tan/yellow wire. You can find the T/Y at the PCM, the ICM, the instrument cluster or the tach service connector.
Most newer tachs can be adjusted to accommodate 4, 6 and 8 cylinder engines. This usually involves cutting a jumper wire or setting a switch. Some older tachs are specifically for one type of engine, so that's something to watch out for before you go to the trouble to install it.

thank alot. we got it installed and i set it on the 6cyl setting and its reading about half of the actual rpms. i think i might be a pile of **** tach. i think i going to get another one...little bit smaller...
