Air bag and other questions

My ranger had a fairly minor accident. Both air bags triggered. I've watched a few videos and it looks like a fairly easy replacement. I am having a little difficulty finding the airbags.
1) Are used airbags OK to use?
2) Are there other things like sensors I should check or replace along with the airbags?
3) Why are drivers side airbags harder to find?
4) What vehicles are compatible with the Ranger? I think F-150 and Explorer are the same
5) Why did the passenger side go off? No one was in the seat.

Thanks

what year ranger?

95-07? i think, had a manual key deactivation so regardless if anyone was in the seat or not, if it was turned on it will fire.

the RCM fries itself when the bags go off so that is shot as well. I don't know when ford started putting belt pretensioners in the ranger, I know my 03 had them so if the bags go then those are shot as well
