1999 Ford Ranger Pickup Truck

The truck has a supplemental restraint system (airbags) in the sterring wheel and the passenger side. When the ignition key is turned, an icon on the dash displays an error code 72 - flashes 7 times, then 2 times. The icon light then stays on while the truck is in use.

Does anyonme know what the error code 72 means?
