what year did they start putting computers into the Ranger?

 

well my 86 broncoII had one so i would guess earlier than that

 

damn so i have one so recalibrating the speedometer wont be cheap

 

i got mine recalced for $50 at the neighborhood ford dealership

 

the older one's like our truck are NOT digital and they DO NOT go through the computer, is a real gear. its not hard at all. simple math and you can find out what gear you need.

 

Any car that has any kind of fuel injection has a computer in it.

 

Heard of Mechanical Fuel Injection???

 

I still think that's a safe statement to make today. You'll be hard pressed to find a mechanical fuel injection still in service today, if you did, it would probably be at a car show, or hidden away in some geezer's garage.

 

The '92 has a speedo gear. It's a $7 part and a 10 minute job to change out.
