Anti theft six prong male plug that disables starter
97 ranger was stolen. Then apparently stolen from thief! First thief removed the six prong plug at the lower left in picture from it’s spot near the hood release. Second thief then installed a jumper switch to hot wire the starter. Doubt if I will pass inspection with that set up. The key powers everything but the starter. Any help would be appreciated. Already paid for new windshield so....
Cab Fuse 24 only has 12volts when key is in START, without anti-theft that 12v would go to Clutch switch(manual) or Neutral switch(automatic) an then to the starter relay on the inner fender(solenoid)
But instead it goes to a relay, and that's most likely your issue
Best bet is to find the RAP module and its LIGHT green/purple wire and cut it
It think its behind the driver seat and behind the rear cabs plastic panel
OR
Pull the kick panel on drivers side and look for a DARK Green/purple wire cut it and GROUND both ends, that should disable alarm system

I see the wire on the diagram. No light green/ purple behind seat.
