Any write ups on removing Intake manifold?

Hi guys, got some time off for a lil while. So going to be fixing my ol ranger that ive put off until now. Last going off my thermostat housing was leaking / still is leaking. Last time i went to remove it, one of the thermostat housing bolts snapped off and the one in the rear stripped out sadly. They were on crazy tight and rusted from salted roads id imagine. So i have a new thermostat housing just need to get it installed.

I'd like to remove the intake manifold to give myself room to work. Im going to need to re-tap at least one bolt, and if i had more room, i could probably fight with the rear one that is stripped out. I think i should be able to destroy the housing half easy with a pair of vice grips to gain access to the broken bolts.

Is there any write ups or pictures on removing the intake manifold? I searched all over the net before writing this thread and some of the old threads i found , i couldn't access the pictures that were posted. Looks straight forward but i don't want to break anything else ! haha.

Thanks for any tips. Hoping to get my lifted ranger back in action

Well since i couldn't find much information on removing my manifold, i went out and figured it out.
4.0 Sohc

1)Took off the cold air intake and got it out of the way (unclipped the MAF sensor as well)
2)Took off the 4 8mm throttle body bolts. ( also unclipped the sensor )
3) Unclipped the throttle body cables and got it out of the way
4)I unbolted the throttle cables from the top of the intake manifold.
5)I unbolted a sensor from the driveside that was bolted to the manifold and moved it away.
6) Took off all of the vacum hoses that I could find. About 3 on the passenger side, then 3 on the driveside.
7) Then I simply unbolted all of the manifold bolts. These are T30 Torx bolts. There is 8 in total. I used a skinny ratchet i had to get most of the bolts, and used a long torx allen style wrench that i had.
8) Once all 8 bolts were loose, I simply lifted the intake manifold up and out of the truck.

Got the new thermostat housing on , also replaced the chain tensioner there while i was in there. For the 20 minutes to pull the intake manifold off , it was well worth it. I also took the hood off just to improve my comfort.
