I've been driving small trucks since I was 12. This is the 1st with abs, I've never had an accident. I also ride a sportbike and am quite familiar with threshold braking. I've proven to myself numerous times I can stop faster and with more control when I do it without abs coming on. The only time I can see it being advantageous is in a panic stop situation, something I've never had to deal with in this vehicle. Last winter I drove a 94 crown vic which I disabled the abs on, I had no trouble stopping that mammoth.

I adjusted my driving style, now I'm afraid my abs will rob me of stopping power in a situation where I would otherwise be able to stop.
