back up lights not working

I did have a bad bulb. changed it and still nothing. Put a meter on the contacts and nothing. All of the other lights in the rear work fine.

Before I dig into it are there any know pinch points or connecters that are prone to corosion that I should start at?

Check the fuse. Should be #2 10 amp (check your owners manual). If its ok then check the reverse switch on tranny.

Yea my guess is the fuse...had my left bulb out in the back too turned out all i needed was a new bulb but my next guess was going to be a fuse.

Solution: Engage the transmission into the reverse gear.

Fuse
Bulb sockets corroded
Large connector below driver seat - water / pin corrosion
DTR sensor (automatic) or reverse light switch (manual)
The rest is just wire (BK/PK), mostly along the DS frame rail and across under the tailgate
