just hit a new trail i heard about and on my way out i noticed a scrapping sound coming from the back end. went underneath saw the skid plate was hitting the muffler so i fixed it, but the sound did not go away. i think its sand in the gears because the sound is the worst in 2nd and 3rd gear. any ideas would help. thanks

 

Well, to rule out sand in the gears, drain the fluids and then filter through paint filter cones to see what's in there.
