battery disconnect procedure question

hi all! this is potentially a dumb question--with my work schedule I sometimes have stretches where I don't drive my Ranger for a couple weeks, and to keep the battery from passively draining I'd like to disconnect one of the cables. is there a difference between disconnected the positive vs the negative cable? I'm thinking disconnecting the positive would still leave the battery grounded > contribute to continued passive draining? just wanted to be sure before I risked a dead battery. thanks!

If the circuit isn't completed, there cannot be any drain on the battery. Removing either terminal will accomplish that.
