Blinker Problem.
Blinker Problem.
My turn signal wont work when I have my headlights on. But it works when I have my running lights on or no lights at all. When my running lights are on, the blinker blinks progressively faster as it stays on.
Any ideas? It happened AFTER I put my fender flares on, if that helps.

You should probably try changing out your blinker fluid, I stopped having any problems when I changed over to the Kaleco Synthetic Blinker Fluid, but you'll have to try to find it elsewhere, cause they're currently sold out.

We need to address the issue. From the sounds of it the progressively faster blinking is probably due to a burnt out bulb. Check that first. After that I'm not sure. I don't really know what would cause the headlights to make the turn signals not work. There are two men who are very fluent in Ranger electronics. John (n3elz) and Bob (rwenzing). Either of them should chime in shortly. I trust everything they say. They've helped me out numerous times.

If it were a burnt out bulb, the rate that it flashes wouldn't gradually start to get faster (I don't think). It would either flash fast or slow, depending. I would check the flasher and fuses, then would goto a wiring issue, bad ground maybe? What type of flares did you put on?
Check the engine bay ground points, especially the one on the driver side inner fender apron near the electrical distribution box. You may have created a floating ground during the fender mod.
