its like wat i have on my 3.0.

the stock air box on rangers is a cold air, just rip out the silencer and throw in a high flow rectangle filter

I think so, you might want to look what other kits they have with the same size pipe, b/c alot of them come with more connectors and pieces for the same price.

I wouldn't put a cone inside a stock box. That is how l2en hydrolocked his truck. Granted he went through a small pond but a smaller puddle would have locked his truck I am sure. If water gets in there which it can even if you are on the road. then the water has no where to go except in your intake.

wouldn't it do the same thing with a stock filter?
