Hey guys,

So I replaced my rear brakes the other day. They've been pretty bad lately. Anyway, I've done rear brakes before but I've never had this sort of issue with the adjuster.

Original driver's side adjuster was gone (cable rusted out), so I got a new kit and installed it. The pawl isn't even close to connecting the teeth... it sits FAR too high. It's as though the new cable/spring thing that pulls the pawl up is too short. I've checked and double checked and it's for a 10" brake drum. Even got another kit for a 10" and the wire is the exact same length.

Did I do something wrong here?

 

Never mind guys. I feel like an idiot. Once I adjusted the pads out manually, it fell into line.
