well after my last offroading adventure i snapped my passenger torsion bar adjuster bolt flush with the hole. so does anyone know how to remove the bolt so that i can replace it?

 

Drill it out and then get a new replacement from Ford.

 

lol sorry to sound dumb, but by drill it out you mean... use a drill bit the size of the hole and just turn the rest of the bolt into shavings??, wouldn't that screw up the threads tho? or do you mean something else

and is it safe to drive like it is now?

There is a tool that you drill into the bolt to turn it.. the generic name is
"easy out"

it should be safe drive as long as the threads are still good... yea that easy out is your best bet so try that...

 

Yeah there are special tools to get stuff like that out. be careful though as the adjuster arm still has pressure on the bolt, so you'll want to get a 2-arm gear puller and the replacement bolt before you go about getting the old one out.

 

yes get the puller from a parts store or wat not to help ya out

if you can grab it with vise grips do so and back it out. If not I would try an ez out.
