Brake Lights not Working.

This is for my dads truck: 2002 Ranger Edge Single Cab 3.0l

Was checking his brake lights this morning and hit the brakes, lights faded to nothing and now they wont come on.

We checked all the fuses that could be associated with the lights (atleast the ones we know of) which are 9, 13 in the cab and 30 under the hood and theyre all fine. Trailer connection is not bad so it isnt that shorting it. He does have a second third brake light for his cap that isnt working either so it could be that also...

so anything other than the brake switch that it could be. thanks

Have you tested them to see if they are getting power?

If the BOO switch is bad you wont get any power to the tail lights. Do you have working running lights and turn signals?
