Brake system HELP!!! PLEASE
Brake system HELP!!! PLEASE
95 ranger 3.0. I have bled the lines multiple time hard as a rock while engine is off and goes straight to the floor soft as hell while engine running. New Master cylinder new brake booster no leaks any where,, even deleted the abs proportioning valve just in case that had air in it. PLEASE DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS BECAUSE IM FRESH OUT OF IDEAS
Open right rear wheel bleeder, fluid should flow out slowly, called gravity bleeding, Master is higher than bleeder so all wheels should gravity bleed.
Have a pan down, lol
Try that on all the wheels, make sure all 4 can gravity bleed, it means no obstructions between master and calipers/slaves
The way brakes work is pretty simple
When pedal is up the master's reservoir fluid can flow out to the calipers/slaves, why gravity bleeding works
When pedal goes down the master's piston slides forward cutting off the reservoir fluid, this applies fluid pressure in the two brake hoses which causes the caliper or slaves to expand, applying the brakes equally
Front hose is rear brakes, rear hose is front brakes, just FYI
The ratio of brake pedal to master is low on power brake vehicles, so hard pedal engine off doesn't mean much
When bleeding power brake vehicle using a helper engine should be on
Because both the master and booster are new either could be bad out of the box
"new" means NEVER EVER TESTED now-a-days, not "tested and works", so grain of salt on all "new" parts
