Brake time

I own a 2000 Ranger XLT. It came equipped with a 3.0L FFV V6, 3 speed tranny with overdrive. The truck itself is a short wheel based single cab and is completely stock just the way it came off the lot, except the worn out parts. With almost 140k miles it is now time for some personal touches, to make driving a hell of alot more enjoyable. I understand that there are limitations that I must adhere by, its a Ranger. So, my first idea is to seriously upgrade my brakes. I know what I want and have. I would like to fit a pair of 4 piston calipers in the front along with rotors. If you are wondering about the suspension, it is the non-torsion, coil over, A armed front end with Bilstien shocks. Now, keep in mind that I know how to fabricate! With that said, I need some help, please. Any thoughts, comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. If I failed to give enough information, I can get it and give it to you. That way we can be on the same page. I'm here to assist and help. I am new so, cut me a little slack.
Thank you
