Bumper winch
Winches are mount to the frame rails on both sides, so they can pull the frame, along with the body out of a jam or use the frame/body weight to pull a buddy out of a jam
People do get front bumpers added for mounting a winch, but a stock Ranger front bumper wouldn't work for that
Winches should be rated at twice the vehicle weight, Ranger is 3,500lbs so 7,000lbs+ winch and cable should be used
But you can get by with 1.5 times so 5,250lbs
Remember a winch is never too big, lol, well within reason

You buy a new winch mount bumper, and for our Rangers they are getting hard to find.
If it's just for pulling out fallen trees then maybe look at a trailer hitch winch mount
Assuming you have a class 3 trailer bumper/hitch, it is rated for 5,000lbs pulling
Class 4 is 7,500lbs
Mounts in the square receiver hitch, has long power cable to hook to battery, easily removed for storage and reinstalled
And can be put on any truck with the standard 2" receiver, so not specifically for a Ranger if you ever change vehicles, or want to rent it to a friend, lol
And tree is at the back of the truck so easier to load after cutting :)
Looks like this when mounted: https://www.superwinch.com/public/me...g?v=1623369843
