CANNOT find EVTM. Can someone help??

Ok I'm stuck on my wiring on my swap until I can verify the new pinouts in the Ranger to Expo harness and I don't want to pay $64 just so I can look at a diagram for this. There HAS to be someone with a 2003 Ranger 4.0 4WD ECU diagram somewhere. I've Googled and shopped around on Ebay and random sites for hours now and I've seen lots of years, but not an 03 except brand new for the $64. I'd go with the 01 and 02 I saw, but it looked altered and it's a year off, so who knows if Ford changed it.

Anyone have access to this???

Thanks.

I had a problem finding EVTMs as well until Bob recommended I search "wiring diagrams." This is what you need, and it's a whole lot cheaper than $64. I think I paid about $20 for mine.

Thanks man! Just placed an order for it. I saw a couple things like that but didn't know what they actually covered. I really want to get past the wiring part so I can get on with the other things I need to. In the mean time, ill start on my j-mod and get fluids in and such.

No problem! They cover everything haha. There's a lot of info to dig through and it can be a little overwhelming if you're like me and don't have much electrical experience, but everything you need is there. The guy doing my swap told me there were 9 pin differences between my 02 Ranger and 98 Explorer, but I honestly can't tell you which ones since I'm not doing the motor swap myself. I've just been handling the mechanical side of things and working on the interior. I'm electrically challenged lol

I'm fine with working on electronics, but tracing and trying to figure out the circuits is where I have some trouble. I wonder how many of your 9 pins were PATS? I don't have any PATS, so I'm thinking there will only be just a few wires like most I've seen. Win posted his setup in my thread and with his 96 Expo to 02, he only had 3 wires. Hoping mine is the same!

Some of them may be PATS related, but I found out about the 9 pins before the tuner informed me that they could bypass PATS with a tune so whichever pins are related to PATS shouldn't matter.

Having a non-PATS donor makes things much easier in that aspect, for sure.

Definitely. Now on to extending the 42 wires in the harness 6" so its not super tight like it is... FUN!...

Also couldn't find studs for the lower intake up front where the coil pack mounts to and just used S/S bolts since the old ones were corroded, so now I have to make a coil pack bracket that mounts to the accessory brackets up front. One little thing after another...

I'm hoping to get by without extending the harness. I know it's going to be tight though.

I was just out there messing with it. Mine definitely does have to be extended. It will just bug the crap out of me to see it stretched across every time I look under the hood.

It'll bug me too. I just need it to be long enough to run for now. I can always extend it later when I have some time.
