CB Problems...
So my CB hasn't really worked since the day I put it in. I can hear people transmit fine. But when I transmit they just hear static, it has done this on more than one CB, is it my speaker or something else? Would it be easier just to but a new one?
Thanks
Thanks
thought I might answer this while I'm lookin at CB stuff...
I would borrow someone else's mic and try that, if it works then you got a bad mic, if it doesn't, check all conenctions and if it's fine, your CB might be bad.

When I used to drive a truck, I had a similar problem. I could hear everyone else, but nobody could hear me. When I would key up. it was dead. Come to find out , one of the wires in the mic came loose. All the guy at the cb shop had to do was re-connect the wire and the mic worked perfectly. The mic that I have was about $40. It's an Astatic. Matter of fact, I've still got that mic and my cobra 29 LTD classic bolted in behind my pass. seat. Throughout all the bumps, it still works. One other possibility is to check the the end of the chord where the plug is. The wires can come loose there also.
