CB wiring help.
Where does the red and black wires go exactly? I read the instructions and it says the red goes to accessory contact in the fuse box and the black go to the negative side of the automobile, where theres good electrical contact. Is there a particular fuse I need to place the wire in, and where is there a good electrical contact for the black wire?
The CB I have is the Cobra 19 DX 2
Thanks,
Clay

Really? LOL. if you want the CB to come on whenever the truck is on hook the red wire up to a key on wire and the black wire to metal (a bolt you used to mount the CB is probably easiest). If you just want to be able to turn it on and off whenever you want hook the red to the battery (dont forget to add a fuse if you go this route). Pretty simple.

Sorry I'm not the best at wiring, So I just hook the red up to the negative battery terminal, and just stick a fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay? I should have known about the black, it just confused me on how they said it in the instructions. Thanks!
i got the same CB and i put the red to the radio Fuse in the cab fuse panel and there is a ground there already to i used.. so when the key is on ACC or IGN it'll work but not when there is no key turned on
I went to radioshack and got a fuse tap and wired it in the fuse box with that. http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/526...fusetap9qq.jpg
Then I grounded it to the metal under the cup holders here http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...821081416a.jpg
Hope this helps a little
