Code 172, CEL comes on then goes off shortly after
OK so I will change the passenger side o2 sensor and see what happens. I am reluctant to change the driver side for 3 reasons:
1. no code for it
2. more money/time spent that I need for other things
3. its a massive ******* headache to get to.
I happen to have a motorcycle I like to kindly refer to as my "gold digger girlfriend", really nice to look at but super heavy on the wallet. So that's where the money is going lol

Well you don't have to do anything yet
If engine starts to ping or MPG goes for a dive then you would need to have another look
That code is just a "heads up" not a warning
CEL will FLASH if you need to check things out "right now"

Yes, very easy to hear
Have you ever heard a diesel engine running?
They often ping/knock when running, not "normal" but expected because of how they work, and they are built to handle it, well overbuilt to handle it, lol
