Hello guys, I am new here,

I helped a friend who needed to unload a 2002 Ford Ranger,

The engine was bad, anyways I gave him $1500.00 for it.

Automatic, 4 cyl

I bought a used engine from a junkyard, it came out of a 2002 Ranger with a 5 speed.

Paid a guy to install it, got it all installed, idles rough, throws all kind of codes.

Overdrive, air bag,door open,check engine,

We replaced all the 02 sensors.

Runs good on freeway, starts , but idles rough.

We used wireharness from original engine.

MAYBE map sensor or computer?/

Any help would be appreciated.

 

Lube the door latch, and that's not a code. Air bag will flash the code, not an engine issue either.


Plug in a code reader and post the codes it has not the descriptions.
