Cruise Control Has stopped working

Truck is a 2001 Ranger, 4.0 v6
For some background my cruise control hasn't worked for about a year now. It initially started after my Brake Pedal Positions switch went out and I had to override it to drive the truck for a while before I replaced it. Since then cruise hasn't work. I just ran a KOEO test and it threw 2 flashes at the end, which, from what I've read, would indicate that the BPP is still bad. My only guess would be that when I replaced it I accidently got one for a newer year model but other than that I'm lost.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First properly fix known failure, BPPSwitch...then reevaluate.
An OBD2 Scanner is handy to test BPPS, & several hundred other items; click here for more on OBD2 Scanners.
