Dome light won't go off

Newb here. Just purchased a 1995 Ranger XLT Supercab today. After shutting it off, the dome light won't go off. I've verifed the doors are closed well and the dashswitch that does the cargo light is in the off position. The ignition switch is a little loose but I have it in the off and locked position (steering wheel locked). Any suggestions?

Thanks

Spray some WD-40 in the door where it latches shut, that was my problem, it may have to be done a time or two.

I should have searched 1st:

*Thanks for not hammering the newb for not searching first*
I'll try the WD 40 first, then buy a new pin switch if that doesn't work. Switch is about $10 and sounds like a PITA to install.

I dont know about your '95 but on the newer rangers, including mine has a "thingy" (whatever you call it lol) that after 10 minutes or so, it will turn the interior dome light (maybe more stuff to.....idk) so it dont kill the battery. (If I remember correctly).

My 05' has that same thing. It's a good feature and I like it.

Pull the sensor out and put some goo off or some other cleaner on it. I would not use wd40 all it does is attrack dust, and dirt and just make it clog up again. Same thing happined on my old 95 and a little goo off cleared it all up.
