dome light stuff

how many wires are supposed to be running to the dome light? i only have one and when i put the mustang dome in the readers dont work. and if there is more than one would i need that for the explorer OHC too?

The 04+ trucks need to have another wire ran up from the headlight switch. Info in here:

I think 06 the wire colors are different once again though, might have to search for that info.

yep. if you only had a dome light, and no maps lights, you'll have to add another wire.

Thanks guys. I'll need that for my explorer console too. Picked that and the light up for 5 bucks!

oooooooooook thanks Trent that helped a lot.

the mustang domes are similar to the expos, and since I have an 04+ then ill have to run some wire.

would 16 or 14 gauge work fine?

Yup that would be fine, I used 18 gauge on mine.
