Hey guys, just bought a ranger and the stupid door ajar light is always on no matter what. any idea where to look or what to do to make that stop, besides taking out the bulb lol

 

Spray some WD40 inside the door latches and slam the doors a few times.

 

Yep. Sometime during the 2000's year range (or maybe earlier) Ford (and others) removed the door jamb switch, and put it into the inner door latch area. Either you busted a wire (removal of the inner door panel is required to view), or something pertaining to the switch itself is sticking.
