Driver and Passenger Side Window Intermittant Operation

My driver's side and passenger side electric windows have been operating intermittently on my 2011 Ranger when operated with the driver's side switches. There is no problem with the passenger side window operation using the switch on the passenger door. Both the driver's side window and passenger side windows will not go down only when completely up at times. When the windows are down, I can always raise them with the driver side switches. When I can lower the windows, the up and down switches cause the windows to operate normally from the driver's side and it will not fail to work normally when the window is down (luckily) in case it rains. When one window fails to operate from a driver's side switch, the other window also fails to operate.

I don't have an electrical schematic and was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and what could be the problem.

Thanks
