drum brakes

What size drums does a 2001 ranger 4x4 have 9" or 10"? I went to buy new shoues for it and could not remember.

thanks zabeard, what would be the deciding factor for 9 or 10" drums on our trucks?

should be the years of the 8.8.

i am pretty sure 01+ maybe earlier all 8.8s on the rangers were 10"

7.5 axles are 9"

im not 100% sure but best guess is yours is 10" i know you have the 8.8

General rule for recent Rangers: 4x4's, 4.0's, 8.8's, Supercabs, any or all get 10" drums.

That leaves 2.3 and 3.0 regular cab XL/XLT 4x2 with the 7.5" axle and 9" rear brakes.
