ok it only makes a buzzing sound when i remove the fuse from the holder. every other wire is connected at the time i removed the fuse from the pos+ wire to battery pos+ cable. if it normally does that, i'd lean towards the temp probe. it's hard to say which it is. like i said, everything else is fine with the fan. i started it completely cold and the fan was on the whole time my truck was running for about five minutes. i tryed moving the adjustment screw back and forth a few times and the fan didn't kick off.

like i said, the fan turns off @ key off. it just doesn't shut off when running.

my pos+ to battery pos+ is okay. my controller neg- is okay(ran to battery neg-). my 12v ign+ is okay. my temp probe is installed correctly, not protruding through the other side and it's in the same spot as most others i've seen beside the upper rad hose. the green wire is taped off til i get my dpdt switch installed. the orange wire is run to the fan's blue wire. i clipped the blue wire(secondary fan wire) and taped it off. i used what i cut off the blue wire for my fan- to the battery -. i will double/triple check in the morning when it's light out, but i traced all the wiring twice while the sun was still out. all wires are in perfect condition. i'm not sure if it's the controller or the temp probe. every heard of this happening bob??

what relay??

i drove it around town and let it sit and idle whie talking to a friend for a few minutes. it stays about an 1/8" lower than it usually did. not much fluxuation, so it's not like it's undriveable for the time being.

This kinda stuff always has to happen to me...

When i put the fan on my truck i tapped into the brake light fuse for ignition on wiring. I guess I tapped into the wrong side cause everytime I pressed the brake down, the fan turned on. It was frustrating cause it took me a while to figure it out. I let it idle and idle and it didn't turn on. So figure I'd drive it around the block. I get on the street and it turned on. Cool. I drive into the parking lot and it turned off. This happened a couple of times before I figured it out. It was funny once I realized what was happening.

Does it make the buzzing noise only when the switched ignition wire is hot? If so, that does sound like a problem with the relay. What did you tap into for the ignition wire, just curious?

the wiper fuse in the power distribution block. there was no power when key and power when key on. it was a match made in heaven. that's the soco talkin. but yeah, it was 45a if i remember correctly. but what would that have to do with it not running til it reaches a certain temp? as mentioned previously, it shuts off when key off but turns on instantly on a cold start as well. i'm confused. we'll see what morning brings.

yeah, i tryed a/c on and off. lol. it's not connected to any a/c clutch hot feed nor any connection not listed in any of the how-to's or controller installation paper. other than the windshield wiper fuse relay in the power distribution panel under the hood as my ign+.

Yeah, that's what I think too. Either that or the temp probe(which is un-modified and part of the controller).
