Electrical Connector Box Under Driver Seat

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for the black box that is under the driver's seat of a 2002 4x4 ford ranger 4.0. The pins in that black connector box corroded and a lot fell off. I have to run the wires direct. I wanted a wiring diagram to see what the wires are for. There are 28 wires that run into the box and there are only 25 wires that come out. I spliced all the wires that are the same together and I have 3 extra wires that I have no idea what they are for or where I should wire them to. The truck only stays on for about 5 seconds. I think that one of the wires is for the fuel pump. If anyone can help me a big thank you in advance.

The 2000 and 2001 had a connector under drivers seat that went thru the floor pan and had issues with corrosion, maybe you have an early 2002

C340 was the connector used in 2001, C309 on 2000

Diagrams here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...-issue-146864/

Fuel pump wire should be Pink/Black stripe and I do see that color wire listed on the C340

Hey Ron that is the exact connector that i am having trouble with, unfortunately my box is so corroded there is no chance in just soldering on new pins. The diagrams that you sent a link to are similar to my connector but they do not show what the wires are for. I have my Pink/Black stripe wire connected I was wondering if you knew if there was a ground wire for the fuel pump in that bunch of wires, maybe connecting that wire will make my truck stay on.

Of the 3 wires that remain and had nothing to connect to on the male side i have a completely green wire, 1 wire is blue/orange stripe, the other is green/orange stripe.

Every year and for every model Ford sends out Shop manuals for each vehicle to Dealers
Part of that set of manuals is the EVTM(electric vacuum troubleshooting manual)

The EVTM is the only place that has where each connector, grounding point and splice is located, and the wire colors for that year and model of vehicle on each connector or splice

This one was sold, but it is what you need: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-Ford-Ra...p2047675.l2557

On my wiring diagrams it doesn't show the C340 connector on the pink/black wire, which it should if that is the fuel pump power wire, so that may or may not be the fuel pump power wire.
You can test if it has 12volts for 2 seconds when key is turned on and then drops to 5-7 volts after that, that is what fuel pump power wire should do.

Black wire is shown as fuel pump ground, but has no location on my drawings.

EVTM's are specific to the year of the vehicle so a 2001 or 2003 "may" have similar wiring , but the 2002 would have exact info and addendum's for any changes made mid-year
The sub-model doesn't matter, all are included, i.e. engine size, 2WD or 4WD, manual or automatic are all in there
