what should that look like should those pieces be together ?
i pushed a shirt up there and the leak went away so im guessing its missing something.

please help i haven't been able to find anything yet... :(

and why im asking is because im engine has been burning a lot of fuel and i think that would be the cause my exhaust leak. but i could be wrong but yahhhh ahah .

It's hard to make out in the picture (or at least it is for me) that doesn't look like exhaust though. I think I see the exhaust manifold behind it, but that isn't part of it I don't think. Unless maybe it's some sort of sensor or something.

 

It is pretty hard to see.... EGR tube?

looks like your EGR...they are usually molded to the block which this is so thats a guess haha

 

take some pictures in the day light so we can actually see what your taking a picture of

 

Downey I dont think you know what the sun looks like as it is the bright spot in the pics. :P

I can see some sort of insulation and pipe with a section missing. As other have sad EGR is probably the issue. I am guessing the CEL has been on for some time.

If you choose to take new pics try some back-light from a flashlight or similar to help light what you are trying to photograph.
