Fan Blower Bypass
Fan Blower Bypass
I am not sure if this is possible, but i was wondering if there was a way to bypass the resistor, or fan speed controller on EATC models, just to get the fan to come on. I just installed the EATC and due to a bad fan speed controller I have no heat and i need heat so my windows do not fog up. I thought since the high speed of the fan is supposed to bypass the fan speed controller if the controller failed a certain way, which mine failed completely and will not even allow the high speed to come on. I thought maybe hooking power up to the fan blower, or using some other wire? I don't know, but I was foolish and installed the EATC without taking all of the precautions.
I got a new one because I thought mine was bad.......it wasn't so I left the new one in......I will look and if I do you can have it if you pay for shipping......
You might have a couple wires wrong.....take a picture of your fan speed controller wires and I will take a look

Here is how i have it hooked up.

Just like the how to said
OR/BK Truck = BR/OR Controller
GR/WH Truck = WH/PK Controller
YE/RD Truck = TN/OR Controller
I remember reading that you had it hooked up wrong, but i dont remember how you had it

is the o/b from the truck the one that goes into the harness? It looks like the o/b wire to the truck is capped off and not attached to anything.....it looks like the controllers o/b wore is plugged into the other plug which goes to nothing
the OR/BK wire from the trucks harness is connected to the BR/OR wire on the FSC connector. The OR/BK wire from the FSC connector is connected to the blower motor OR/BK wire. The OR/BK wire that was originally hooked up to the blower motor is taped off.
