Ford Ranger 2004 international facelift model (2.9L) spun bearings again and again
Hey There,
My engine overheated due to a blocked radiator, which caused me to replace the piston bearings. After driving about 3000 kilometers, the engine suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. I tried starting the engine a few times and it eventually started, so I pulled over to check if there was anything wrong under the hood. However, the engine stopped again shortly after. I was unable to start the engine and it felt like it had seized up, so I had to tow the vehicle to a garage. We took apart the engine again and discovered that the bearing on the second piston had spun, So I replaced all four bearings and the connecting rod on the affected piston. Unfortunately, after driving for only around 50 kilometers, the engine died again. We made sure there wasn't any oil blockage, overheating, or a bent crankshaft. Anyone got any ideas on what could be causing this?

What engine is it?
Is it a gasoline or diesel engine?
There was a W9 - 2.9 L 4cyl diesel offered
We never had that engine so we can't help much
