I have a 96 standard cab Ranger and it takes forever to fill up my truck with fuel, the pump keeps shutting off on me when the tank is no where near full. I have to take my time and I dont know what else to do. Has anybody experienced this problem?

 

The only thing I can think of is adjust the angle you hold the nozzle, that might work, I dunno.

 

theres little holes in the noozle that when they fill up the gas shuts off... so either you have a very narrow fuel neck, bad angle like he said, or you just have a really bad gas station

 

Same thing happened to me when I first got my Magnaflow exhaust, and I didn't know it melted the vent tube shut right below the neck....so, if you had any work done..could be a place to start....

 

I'll check the filler tube between the tank and the intake neck again. I've tried every angle and had many people look at me like I'm alien doing it, but I didn't know if this was an isolated issue.

When i 1st got my truck and had the BL on it....and i pumped gas in the middle of winter it would shoot back out at me for some reason...but only in the winter...

Gasoline, Exhaust, and temperatures that melt are NOT a good combination!!! How the heck did your exhaust get so close to the filler neck!??

I had this problem after the bed was taken off my truck(not by me the paint guy) and what happend was the sleve somehow was loose and it had snagged on the bed...wasnt to fun to fix, luckily I had acess to a lift so I could get to it easy

 

LOL, yeah it wouldn't be a good combo, but it melted the VENT TUBE...NOT the FILLER TUBE...there is a hard rubber vent line running along the drivers side frame rail, and it melted it closed...
So when pumping in the gas..the air couldn't get out quick enough....

After all of this, is when Magnaflow posted that the dual rear exhaust "will not fit EDGE models" even though it does...but you need to hold back that vent tube with something.
