She's acting up...
#1
Last night I took her out and got a bit muddy. Now the check engine lite is on, and the trottle is sticking and reving a bit up on it's own. My only guess so far is I might have got some moisture on the MAF. Haven't taken off the air filter cover yet to look though. Doing that after I have dinner. Any suggestions? If it is dirt/water on MAF, how do I clean that off?

also while youre at autozone, have them scan that CEL to see exactly what the problem is. and THANK YOU bryan for recommending the right stuff, most people suggest carb or brake cleaner, but only a cleaner like CRC Electrical cleaner is safe enough to use on the sensitive electronics inside the MAF

Well took the air filter out last night. I actually had mud in the bottom of the air box. :( So took it all apart, and washed out the box. Used the CRC and sprayed off the MAF and let everything dry out. Still getting the check engine. Just got back from Advanced Auto. Got the recharge kit for the K&N Filter. Now cleaning the filter and have a cheap Fram filter in till that gets cleaned and dried out. Battery & alternator are fine. They can't scan the truck to see why the light is on till their insurance covers it starting July. So...... I stilll don't know what's wrong with it. :x

If HIS is acting up, would you really want him to drive yours? I mean you would get back and have TWO broken rangers.....

Well I think the truck misses you too!!!
I found out what the check engine light is on about. The code is for the throtle sensor. I took it abart and cleand with the CRC and dialectric grease. Worked good for a min or two, then light is back on. So I guess I have to wash it good, and send it into the shop.
