Funny you metion that. About three years ago I was at a classic car sales shop. They had a all original 9k mile 76 camaro. No kidding here.. it's panel gaps looked just about like that pic taken by Takeda. Horrible.. just horrible.
That same year I bought a all original 29k mile 1987 MCSS. It really wasn't much better. Got it home and spent one whole day adjusting and tighting everything. Bolts missing, T-tops had air gaps between them and the body, ect...

That Camaro was a 350 4 speed 4 barrel car and it really ran!! I could do doughnuts where the front tires sat still and the back went around in circles. The possi would get you in a straight line and start weaving back and forth. Very fun car. It was constantly falling apart but it didn't matter. They sure build better cars today as far as fit and finish.
